3 out of 5 stars Fenix E01 Compact LED flashlight   July 28, 2010
Bill (New York)
Purchased this Fenix E01 flashlight at the end of April as a gift and the flashlight worked great for the couple of months it lasted. The 10 lumens was more than bright enough and flashlight is very convenient to have on hand when carrying around at night. Unfortunately, the flashlight stop working by early July and that was under light usage.. I had to return the flashlight to Amazon for a refund as I was only eligible for a new replacement if it fell under their 30 day warranty for an exchange.. The other option was to purchase a new flashlight after my refund was processed, however by July the price went up for the E01, and I would have needed to spend the 25 dollars again to be qualify for the free shipping. The Cree LED bulbs are nice to have, however if the overall flashlight(made in China), in my experience, lasted no longer then a disposable one, it is difficult for me to to recommend purchasing at the premium price tag at this time.. I would need to see these companies providing/honoring better new replacement warranties or better quality control.

5 out of 5 stars Fenomenal Flash   July 16, 2010

What a great pocket flashlight!

I had an Arc LED AAA flash before, but it couldn't hold a candle to this Fenix.

This pocket-sized powerhouse is BRIGHT!!! I mean, blinding! It can easily light a path as you walk.

The aluminum body also seems sturdy, and the flashlight turns on and off smoothly.

Flashlight enthusiasts know that LEDs are the way to go these days (are you listening, Maglite?) because of their reduced battery consumption and long life.

Still this Fenix is an especially nifty specimen -- mine looks great in gold -- and it definitely deserves a place in your pocket or handbag.

Highly recommended!

5 out of 5 stars Great Flashlight for the price   July 13, 2010
Frosty
I just recently got this flashlight about a week ago and it is great. It runs on a single AAA battery which is somewhat convenient, and it fits perfectly on a keychain so you can do everyday activities.

4 out of 5 stars Good flashlight, but just "ok" for price.   July 13, 2010

Ok, I like the flashlight a lot, but it's not very bright. That's why it only gets 4 stars. The build quality is amazing - feels solid, and feels heavy. Fenix has a newer keychain light that puts up a lot more lumens, but costs $40 - worth it in my opinion if you want only the best. The EO1 is only as bright as cheap LED lights, however, so isn't worth $14 imo.

4 out of 5 stars Very useful   July 12, 2010
Sea of Junk (Seymour, CT United States)
Small and light enough to to actually be left on the key ring without being a nuisance. Bright enough to be useful as a key light when you need it most. Not bright enough to be used outside of it's intended use. This was a gift received on July 4, so no info on durability as of this writing 7/12/2010.

I have a Fenix TK12 since Sep 2009 and I love it. Bright, durable, very useful.
