Great product, convinent and useful product August 2, 2010 Ravinder Ramini (India) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have been using this product for wrist watch assembling, clear
visibility and no strain if I use a longer period.
Used in a Professional Setting February 26, 2010 R. K. Brumback (Mc Kee, Kentucky, US) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I do electronics work on a daily setting and needed something to magnify the small parts and close areas I must work. I purchased two of these and have two different magnification lenses in each one so I don't have to change the lenses in one visor. This visor is excellent for the price. The field of view with the higher mag lenses is not the greatest but this is to be expected. I am not disappointed with the purchase and use it every day I work.
great magnification February 10, 2010 Lee W. Davis (clarks summit,PA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I obtained this product for close up medical procedures to allow both hands to be free. I've already used it to remove some difficult surures with great results. I'll be taking it with me to Kenya on a medical trip where I believe it will be used quite a bit. I plan on leaving it there for the nurses to have for their work. The three different lens are a real plus. Great product !
Product is as-described January 30, 2010 Richard Hill (Milwaukee, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Does just what the write-up promised. Great comfort and optics. My only gripe is that the lenses are a bit difficult to put in, since I'm concerned about snapping off the plastic clips that hold them in.
Not as good as competing magnifiers, and uncomfortable too January 23, 2010 Robert J. Crowley (Sudbury, MA United States) 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
I believe I have all of the head worn magnifiers that are out there including the cheapies and others with lights and flip down lenses. I expected the B&L to be the best, as it is the most expensive, but it is actually the worst of the lot. First it is very heavy and gets heavier as the day wears on. Second, the headband presses on your brow and the back of your head, leading to sore spots (unless your head is very wide). Third, the sharp edges on the visor touch the top of your nose and irritate or abrade it. Fourth, the field of view is less than cheaper models from other makers. Fifth, the changeable lenses, which seem like a neat idea, are very difficult to put in, requiring more force than one would ordinarily put on a piece of plastic. I have not dared try to remove one and think that's a hassle. Finally, the hood portion of the visor has this unnecessary overhanging bill that adds weight and gets in the way. I expected more from B&L, but the less expensive competing units are far better for the price. This model is made in China, and at least one competing unit can be found that is half the price and made in USA, and that's the most comfortable.Optical quality, which I am very tuned into as I am working on optical devices, is not any better than the others. I nearly returned these, but can't be bothered, and besides, there might be something I can do with the snap in lenses on some other projects.
