Works as advertised! I purchased these gloves with the OXO Good Grips Oyster Knife prior to a large BBQ I was having at my house. With 100 oysters being served, these gloves worked excellent through out the day. With out a doubt they saved my hands from getting cut or stabbed by the oyster knife a few times as the knife slipped off the oyster. Sometimes those darn things fight back pretty well! Overall the fit was a little loose, but I definitely don't have medium size hands, and the large was good enough. I would purchase these again if I ever wear these gloves out... but at the rate I'm using them... since I don't shuck oysters every week... I may do this once a year... they should last me a few years as long as the latex coating holds up. I would recommend purchasing these to anyone.

This glove smell very bad when it is new. I guess maybe all glove made of this Kevlar material all smell bad.
Beside the smell, I don't feel the glove comfortable to wear. I will try to buy other glove to see if they are better.
However, this glove is inexpensive, compare with other glove.

These gloves are huge and there was no other size choice. I think more women than men would be doing cutting and using a mandoline.

I just purchased my first mandoline and after reading other customer comments went ahead and purchased a pair of these gloves. Now I see how so many people have ended up in the emergency room without a pair. The mandoline was fantastic but before you're aware of it, the glove would get hit by the blade -- that would have been my fingers if I hadn't bought these gloves. Believe me, it has happened more than once and I'm trying to be careful. These gloves are a must.
The only drawback is that I could not figure out how to get a different size and would have preferred to have a medium pair, but I still manage with this slightly big pair.

In fact as of today, they no longer sell the medium size.
I have both large and medium.
If you have large hands, then these may be too small.
If you want to see how they will fit, they are a hair smaller than a large golf glove.
So if you wear an extra large golf glove, then I would look around some more.
I still gave it 5 stars and will be getting another pair when I need $7.00 for shipping
