THEY ARE NO LONGER MAKING THEM!!! WTF!?!@(%# December 20, 2009 Hector Cabrera Jr. (Bay Area) I've been doing drywall and taping for over 4 years now and have been using this product the whole time. This is by far the best reusable dust respirator out there, especially compared to the paper disposable masks that do nothing but lets in dust or whatever else your working on. For some reason they have decided to stop producing this and have taken them out from all retail stores. I guess now since 3M bought them out or whatever the hell happened, they have completely yanked the rug out of a quality product and now giving us crap. Way to go guys, way to ruin a perfectly awesome product.
Get yourself a nice dust mask and some of these filters August 6, 2009 L. Romero (Carlsbad, CA United States) When I started woodworking I used to get those cheap dust masks. They never tend to create a good seal around your face and they are uncomfortable. I decided to invest in a nice reusable mask which uses these filters. The filters are great at stopping dust from woodworking. You can definitely see all the dust the filter has stopped on the external side of the mask. Make sure you always keep some of these in stock. I place new filters inside a zip-lock bag to protect them from getting dust.
Great filters. Easy to replace. July 12, 2009 Winston Wolfe (Marietta, GA USA) I go through a number of filters so I don't get paint, sawdust, dust, etc. into my lungs. These work very well and are easy to replace. What more could I want?
good filter January 13, 2009 M. Gorman The mask seemed a little small at first, as I have used painters masks with carbon filters in the past. After I got used to the fit it was great! Wore it while demolishing drywall and removing insulation. Filter lasted more than a week. Mask seals to the face really well. Keep in mind this is intended for dust only, not fumes.
Replacement filters for dust respirator November 26, 2008 Donn J. Shands (Sugar Land, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Eventually you will need replacement filters for your Woodworker's Respirator. When you order your respirator, add this 4 pack in with the order. You will be glad you have the spares. Never sand or router without a respirator! PVC dust, and bamboo dust are about as bad as asbestos. Some wood dust is highly allergetic, or will build up toxicity in the system that may not hit you for days after. Be safe. Change filters often.
