Amazon.com Review When a visitor--wanted or unwanted--approaches a house on foot or in a vehicle the motion-detecting sensor unit of this warning device sends a signal to the receiver indoors, which chimes an alert. The device is wireless and has a 400-foot range. It requires three C-cell batteries for the receiver and one 9-volt battery for the transmitting sensor. (Batteries are not included.) The sensor is housed in weather-resistant plastic, installs with a screw on any surface, such as a mailbox post, garage, or door, and measures 4-1/4 inches high, 2-5/8 inches wide, and 2-1/4 inches deep. The portable receiver has an identical housing, can be set to chime high or low (or turned off), and measures 5 inches high, 3-5/8 inches wide, and 1-1/2 inches deep. --Fred Brack

Nice product! March 12, 2010 K. Cook (Houston, TX USA) This product does exactly what it is designed to do...I bought three and have them outside, protected from the rain. The distance advertised works fine, the product works fine...now, you will always get a false alarm now and then because these things cannot identify a bird or dog versus a criminal so let's be fair about understanding that these items are not high dollar military grade sensors, they are perfect for most home needs and I could not be more pleased with the quality, especially when considering the price. I have had and used mine for a month or so and have had no problems. Keep in mind, it is important to think about where to place them...you don't want a bush blowing in the wind that may activate them and end up driving you nuts. I don't even use mine as driveway monitors even though they would be fine for this...Mine are mostly placed around the house to detect unwanted guests. Keep them protected from the rain and extreme weather and they could be the exact thing needed to help protect your home and keep up with who's coming and going. I would buy more if needed.
Can't beat it for the price. March 10, 2010 N. Howe (Wesley Chapel, FL) I have 2 of these now, they both work great so far, only had them a couple months but so far so good.
the patrol is dead March 7, 2010 C. M. Brown (ohio) the item was purchsed january 2010. the system does not work in march 2010. only static ,no chimes.. do not purchase this item.
Not pleased March 3, 2010 No Name Fast Delivery.
Too sensitive.
Goes off when a birds fly by.
It does work.
So-So February 26, 2010 Gunworks Have been using this for about one month. Overall I would suggest you consider buying one of better quality and saving this money.
Does not work well in cold or rainy weather - overall is not reliable - will at times pick-up a dog walking past but does nothing when the UPS truck pulls in!! Will pick-up a white car but nothing dark in color.
