    Amazon.com Product Review
Designed for residential use, the Nighthawk Carbon Monoxide detector keeps everyone in the house safe from poisonous, odorless CO fumes. The unit detects carbon monoxide levels from 30 to 999 parts per million. Its low-profile design doesn't stand out when connect to any wall outlet. The unit plugs directly into AC outlets for easy setup, and comes equipped with a 9-volt battery for backup during power outages. Its loud, 85-decibel alarm is sure to alert the whole house when safe carbon monoxide levels are breached. The Nighthawk is UL listed, and features a continuous digital readout of carbon monoxide levels, as well as peak-level memory display, and a test/reset button. It also can be stationed on a tabletop with the included 8-foot AC cord. The Nighthawk comes with a 5-year manufacturer warranty. --Brian D. Olson

4 out of 5 stars Convenient Installation   July 19, 2010
    Claybuster (Eastern L.I.)
Easy to install. Good installation instructions. It's sitting on a bedrooms night table casting a reassuring glow. Too bad it had to be made in China.

    1 out of 5 stars Battery   July 11, 2010

The detector works great but we spend more money replacing the 9 volt batteries every couple of months than what the actual detector cost (which was not a cheap either).

5 out of 5 stars Kidde Nighthawk Plug-in Carbon Monoxide with digital display   June 15, 2010
Kevin Hyland (Brooklyn, New York, US)
I recently bought several Kidde Nighthawk Plug-in Carbon Monoxide Alarms/detectors
with digital display. Alhough not tested under battle conditions, I am impressed with the digital display. What could be any clearer? With battery back-up for power outages, it's an excellent buy for the money!!

1 out of 5 stars false alarms   June 7, 2010
    Joseph Sofia (Texas)
This thing has been giving false gas alarms which are very loud and annoying... apparently I'm not the only one!!!

1 out of 5 stars WAY too sensitive   May 11, 2010

Had a gas stove burner on but the flame blew out- detector never even beeped. However, if you use Windex or Lysol anywhere in the house, it will go off and not quit. Total waste of batteries and effort.
